Charlton Hall can only be accessed by car, so if you’re not driving down you will need to take a taxi to and from the venue. For taxis in Alnwick, you can use either:

How to get to alnwick

by train

You can reach Newcastle from London Kings Cross in approx. 3 hours. From Newcastle you can get a train to Alnmouth (approx. 40 minutes), which is a 20 minute cab drive away from Alnwick/Charlton Hall/The Hogs Head Inn.

Alternatively, you can take the train to Newcastle and take a taxi from the station. As you come out of the station, turn right to find the covered taxi stand across the pedestrian area.

By car

Driving from Newcastle to Alnwick takes just under an hour. If you’d prefer to take the train to Newcastle and rent a car from the station, you can do this at:

By plane
